The Incinerator Method of Waste Disposal

Our state of the art incinerator, is one of our
in-house facilities for handling medical waste. Our incinerator design
and emission control technology keep our facility well within current and
future EPA emissions standards.
Wastes Suitable for Incineration
Certain types of medical
waste are best treated by rendering them not
only sterile, but totally unrecognizable. Incineration also reduces
the volume of the waste by up to 95%. Types of waste that we
incinerate may include chemotherapy waste, laboratory specimens,
contaminated animal carcasses, isolation and surgical waste, pharmaceuticals
and blood or blood products.
Incinerator Process
Waste is unloaded on to a conveyor system where it
is ready to be
incinerated. Corrugated containers are put in, while reusable
containers are emptied and sent to be sterilized.
The operator
carefully monitors the temperature and airflow in each chamber, and the
volume of waste that is put in to make sure that emissions are well within
EPA standards at all times. All exhaust is handled through a
multi-stage dry bag scrubber.
Recyclable Container
All plastic containers go through a sterilization and cleaning process
before they are used again.
